Our bereavement blankets are handcrafted, using your favourite clothing pieces as the centerpiece of the patchwork design. While we typically maintain uniform square sizes, we may adjust the sizing to highlight intricate details, logos, buttons, pockets or emblems found on the garments. This tailored approach ensures a truly personalised and unique item. If you would like your blanket designed in a certain way (with all the same size squares or uniformed squares) just let us know when posting the items to us.
Each blanket is elegantly finished with a border and backing made from our snuggly fleece fabric, available in a selection of colours including cream, pink, lilac, grey, or red. Whether you have a collection of shirts, t-shirts, jumpers, trousers, or a mix of your most beloved items, we can incorporate them all into a cohesive and meaningful final product. Our Bereavement Blanket comes in four different sizes to suit a wide range of uses. All sizes are approximate and may vary slightly depending on the clothes that are used.
- Standard: 95cm x 110cm (30 squares) – minimum of 6 adult clothing items
- Single: 110cm x 170cm (60 squares) – minimum of 10 adult clothing items
- Double: 170cm x 170cm (100 squares) – minimum of 15 adult clothing items
- King Size: 170cm x 200cm (120 squares) – minimum of 18 adult clothing items
To begin crafting your unique bereavement blanket, start by choosing your preferred size and selecting the border and backing colour. You also have the option to add personalisation for an extra touch of sentiment. Please note, our bereavement blankets can be machine washed at 30 degrees, however, we highly recommend hand washing them in warm water and leaving them to dry on an airer or washing line.
